[edit] What year was the Art Centre Spire built?

The article says "The complex retains landmark status due to its massive steel spire and its wrap-around base. Built in 1996 at a height of 163m"... this is incorrect, I can remember it being there from at least the early 80s. Can someone find the correct date? --Pellet 06:09, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I looked over the Arts Centre website, and found that the original spire was deteriorating and had to be replaced. The replacement was completed in 1996. I've edited the article to clarify that. - Hinto 23:51, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
