[edit] Ace Ventura comparison
I removed "Compare the "Rock and Roll Detective with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective - also starring a notable comedian, Jim Carrey" from the article. It was put in very disjointedly, and I don't quite see why it was put in in the first place. If anyone wants to insert it back in, with a better explanation of why it fits in, that's fine with me, but as it stands now, it doesn't fit. Quentin mcalmott 08:55, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
For similar reasons I've removed the comparison to The Naked Gun: "In many respects, the comedy and style of the film is similar to The Naked Gun, though the humor and language tend to be slightly more offensive." It can of course be compared to a number of movies, and that helps people to decide if they want to watch it or not, but these comparisons should most often go to movie reviews and not encyclopedic articles. --Cyhawk 01:28, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] POV Paragraph
I fixed up a paragraph that had many POV comments. 69.40.250.53 01:54, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unbelievable!
The unbelieveable mentioned in the soundtrack section (not the soundtrack listing) isn't about the song from the film, its about the unrelated song of the same name that samples sections of "Ford"'s dialogue, released the following year. Note that i didn't change the soundtrack listing, just the song mentioned IN the soundtrack section. Both songs are mentioned correctly, promise WookMuff 10:51, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:The adventures of ford fairlane.jpg
Image:The adventures of ford fairlane.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] IMDB text
Most of this article is lifted directly from IMDB. I'm pretty sure that's not OK. I'd re-write it, but I'm better at correcting text than creating it :) Dave420 12:04, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
