I believe that the band is punctuated as "The 5.6.7.8's"

Can anyone else confirm/change this?

Yes, I've always seen it punctuated as you say it is, and the 'allmusic' website lists it as that. It's also like that on their 'Bomb The Twist' album - look at it on allmusic.com. The page needs moving! Dragonfly888 00:48, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

"The 5.6.7.8's" is an official name. I think that Japanese script is unnecessary in lead text of this article. (If I write it, it will be "ザ・ファイブ・シックス・セブン・エイツ".) --Nightshadow28 18:24, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
