[edit] Plot

In the 3rd installment of Nick Game's Tak series, Tak, and for the first time, Lok, must team up in order to win the Juju Challenge in order to receive the Moon Juju's Blessings. You will play as both Tak and Lok and use their combined abilities in order to go through the game's puzzles. The game has plenty of humor to be expected in the Tak series and innovative gameplay.

[edit] Gameplay

The Gameplay is an obstacle course with a timer counting down. Tak and Lok try to reach the exit with the least time possible. The score depends on the time, items collected and enemies defeated. The game can either be played one player who switches between Tak and Lok or by playing two player with a friend each controlling a character with a horizontal split screen and TV.

[edit] Characters

  • Tak: Tak is a young boy who is the hero of the Pupanunu people discovered in the first game. Tak is somewhat care free and is the brains of the two. Tak is skilled in the ways of magic and attacks with a glowing staff like weapon. Tak uses a "throw" attack for long ranged enemies as well as summoning spirits to attack enemies.
  • Lok: Lok is the 2nd hero of the game. Most of the time Lok truly is an idiot. He constantly embarrasses Tak while trying to be cool. He dosn't have any magic like Tak, but his strength is unmatched. He attacks with a giant mallet which does a great damage to enemies. He can carry Tak and throw him up in the air to get items or platforms out of reach. For some reason, fish hate him. This is the second time where he's a playable character. The first is at the end of 'Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams' and its multiplayer mode.
  • Jibolba: Jibolba is the shaman of the Pupanunu people. He runs the "Shaman Shack" where the teams and Jujus go for a break between challenges. His appearances aren't as common as the other two games.
  • Bartog: A fearsome warrior of the Black Mist people.
  • Crug: The finest Dark Arts Shaman of the Black Mist people.
  • Stone Crusher: A fearsome warrior of the Grammazons.
  • Thunder Fist: A fearsome warrior of the Grammazons.
  • Jib: One of the warriors of the Jibbajab tribe.
  • Jab: Jib's teammate and also a Jibbajab tribal warrior.

[edit] Jujus

At the end of the round, a random Juju (with the exception of the Moon Juju) will appear and give either Tak and Lok a new ability, Health, Mana or weapon upgrade. The Juju's usually do it in a funny and ridiculous way. Among the Jujus present are:

  • Belly Juju:
  • Caged Juju:
  • Dark Juju: An impish Juju who is utterly obsessed with Moon Juju, and helps the Black Mist cheat so he can be with her. His name is apparently Travis.
  • Dead Juju:
  • Dinky Juju:
  • Fauna Juju: She is the Moon Juju other daugther and twin sister to Flora Juju
  • Flora Juju: She is the Moon Juju daugther and Fauna Juju twin sister. She helps Tak during first game by giving hints so he could beat taloc and the Moon Juju and the village
  • Host Juju: An unseen Juju who acts as the announcer for the Great Juju Challenge.
  • Moon Juju: Moon Juju provides the winners of the Great Juju Challenge with blessings for 60 years, no matter what they are.
  • Mind-Reader Juju:
  • Two-Headed Juju:

[edit] Teams

The Great Juju Challenge has 4 teams with 2 people a team. The team names are of the tribe that there from.

  • Pupanunu: This is the team Tak and Lok are on. This is the only team that is playable.
  • The Black Mist: The Black Mist are not friendly and they win rounds through cheating. They seem to be very full of themselves. When they win, they say that their plans are to use the Moon Juju's power to destroy Tak and Lok's village.
  • Jibba Jabba: The 2 members of the Jibba Jabba tribe seem to only talk in hip hop sounds. They never do say anything else, so Tak and Lok have no idea what they are saying.
  • Grammazon: The Grammazons look like beautiful warriors on the outside, but are in fact old women with young bodies. Their name is a portmanteau of "Grandma" and "Amazon".

[edit] Costumes

  • Chicken Suit Tak can wear a Chicken suit just like in the first game. It gives him the ability to glide and shoot exploding eggs. The Chicken suit is only found in certain levels and can only be worn in certain areas.
  • Lobster Suit Even though he can't swim, Lok can walk underwater with the Lobster suit. When underwater Lok can use his pinchers to cut rope to release platforms (barrels) above the water.
