Stanny Slickers II: The Legend of Ollie's Gold is an episode of the television program American Dad!.
[edit] Synopsis
Officially declared dead after an accident with a pudding truck, Stan comes back to life to realize his dream of leaving a legacy on the world and begins to excavate his home in search of Ollie North's "Contra"-band buried treasure (the Smiths' house was previously owned by North himself). He looked for it years ago but when Hayley was born, he had to give it up, which is the reason why her middle name is "Dream Smasher". As the search for gold goes "North," life at home heads south as the family problems increase as Hayley turns to body-piercing and Steve creates a robotic girlfriend out of a vacuum cleaner. Greg and Terry decide to document Stan's attempts as to whether he is descending into madness or not. He claims there are clues due to the "good, bad and ugly" electrical outlets in the living room (one works, one does not, and one is cracked) and the "ice creamsicle" (the initials I.C. standing for Iran-Contra) wrappers he found. When he creates a mine shaft and begins to eat dirt, Francine decides to put a stop to it just as he found a box of gold bars. But because no one was there to film his discovery, he decides to stage it. While he tries to decide what would be the best quote, the mine collapses on him. While trying to rescue him, Stan refuses to let the gold go. He was then hit over the head while relaying his final words. In his unconscious state, he dreams of the future, where his discovery had become legendary; Hayley has been piercing extremely and got a plate in her mouth; Steve made a successful robot girlfriend; Francine has remarried. Stan then wakes up and saves himself, leaving the gold. He declares that he has learned his lesson, ordering Steve and Hayley to stop their current trends. At the end of the episode, the black fireman from "Joint Custody" tells his partner that he will wait until the Smiths are in bed and then dig up the gold.
In a sub-story Roger learns that a woman was sexually harassed at Big Buy. As a result, the company was sued and gave her a million dollars. Deciding to cheat Syntho Corp., Roger disguises himself as an attractive, fat lady to provoke someone but it doesn't work and Klaus just laughs at him. So the only way he could get his money was to be a man and harass himself. He fakes a harassment and gets $90,000.

- At the scene of the first collapsing in the Smith's house, Sergei, Stan's rival and neighor, introduced in Red October Sky was seen, but did not speak at all.
- Also returning in the episode is the fireman from the episode Joint Custody.
- One of the people in the house after the hole collapses is wearing a 'Ladybugs' badge, first seen in the episode "Not Particularly Desperate Housewives".

- The title is a reference to City Slickers and its sequel.
- Roger Quotes "Did you see that episode of Seinfeld last Thursday 10 years ago?" The Thursday ten years before this episode was first aired showed the last episode of Seinfeld.
- Roger's main disguise is "Laura Vanderboobin", a parody of Laura Vandervoort.
- Stan's outfit near the end with Ollie's gold looks exactly like Indiana Jones' outfit.
- During the Ollie North song, Drago from Rocky IV is seen fighting Uncle Sam.
- Stan's song explaining the Iran-Contra affair was done in a style of ABC's Schoolhouse Rock. Roger appears and says the famous "Crap! That's the end." from the song "Interjections!"
- After pulling Stan from the wreckage, one of the EMTs goes on a (presumably) vulgar rant to his partner about a sexual escapade he enjoyed the previous night. The setup of the scene, right down to the sound being muted and the storyteller pulling his leg over his head at one point in both, is virtually shot for shot what Glenn Quagmire does in a scene in "The Courtship of Stewie's Father".
- When Stan first attempts to stage the discovery, he says "Here's looking at you, gold!", a parody of the famous line from Casablanca "Here's looking at you, kid."
- Stan imagines a biographical film of his life starring B-movie actor Bruce Campbell, a reference to their large chins uniting them.
