School: The Seventh Silence is a novel by Craig Herbertson; a dark fantasy described by the publisher a "reminiscent of Lewis Carroll".[1]
The principal character, Jean Deforte, an unpopular half French, half Scottish boy is bullied at an English Grammar school. When his young sister disappears he attempts suicide and finds himself in parallel school where various horrors impede his attempts to find her.
On the year of its publication 'School: The Seventh Silence' was termed ' a brilliant first novel '[2][not in citation given] by Mike Glyer, the Chairperson of the World fantasy Congress.
