IMDb profile |
Rude Boy is the name of a 2003 movie which features Julius, a Jamaican Gangsta who has big dreams of becoming the biggest reggae DJ in the U.S. When his entry status is jeopardized, he makes a deal with the devil and agrees to carry a bag of contraband through customs in exchange for his papers. Unfortunately, it soon conspires that what began as a one-time deal has descended into an inescapable situation in which murder is the only hope of survival.
Although regarded by many as a particularly good film, like many budget films it has become little more than a cult classic.
It's sequel Gangstas Paradise (film) also featuring Beenie Man and Mark Danvers, set in both Jamacia and Los Angeles was unfortunately not as well received, despite being much higher budget.
