Round One: The Album was the first album released by the former four division boxing champion, Roy Jones, Jr. The album features the single "That Was Then" which peaked at #2 on the Hot Rap Singles chart and at #57 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. Roy Jones, Jr. would go on to release a second album with the group Body Head Bangerz, titled Body Head Bangerz: Volume One.
[edit] History
The album was based on the fact that at one point he was the "best pound for pound fighter" of his time, as mentioned in the song "Ya'll Must've Forgot". The main intention was to remind critics why they did call him the best pound for pound fighter in boxing. It was also to show that aside from boxing, he had many other talents, including rapping.
