The Inferno III is the 14th season of the Real World/Road Rules Challenge and the third of the Inferno series. The teams are in the format of The Inferno II, "Good Guys" versus "Bad Asses". Contrary to the last Inferno shows, the Lifesaver competitions have been limited to gender only winners, as for the male Inferno days, only males will be able to win it and vice versa. Filming took place in Cape Town, South Africa. The season premiered on Tuesday April 10, 2007 on MTV.[1]

There were $400,000 in prizes.

Note 1: CT was removed before the first challenge for punching Davis, and he was replaced by Derrick.

Note 2: Timmy was disqualified for not breaking all the pieces of glass completely.

     The Bad Asses won the challenge.
     The Good Guys won the challenge.
     The contestant was saved by another contestant with a Life Shield.
     The contestant won the Life Shield and saved themselves.
     The contestant won the Life Shield and put themselves in the Inferno.
     The contestant was placed in the Inferno by the Life Shield winner.

The Good Guys in the final challenge were Ace, Alton, Cara, John, Paula, and Susie. The Bad Asses in the final challenge were Abram, Derrick, Ev, Janelle, Kenny, and Tonya.

[edit] Infernos

1. Alton and Tyrie: Head Rush
The men hang upside down by their ankles and must swing around collecting puzzle pieces. They must then construct the puzzle correctly.
Winner: Alton
2. Rachel and Jenn: Ejection
Both opponents must use jousting sticks to hit each other's targets -- which in turn causes their opponent's platform to tilt 15 degrees each time the target is hit, until the opponent falls off. The first person to knock their opponent off three times wins.
Winner: Jenn
3. Davis and Danny: Watch Your Back
A game of tag that takes place on a platform with four ladders. Davis starts on top of the platform and Danny starts on the floor. When T.J. blows the whistle, they have to chase each other until one of them either tags or passes the other. The first person to score twice wins and the loser will be sent packing.
Winner: Davis
4. Colie and Jenn: Spokesmodel
Jenn and Colie climb to the top of a giant wheel; once TJ sounds his air horn the wheel begins to spin, the longer the two girls remain on the wheel, the faster it will spin. The girl that remains on the wheel for the longest amount of time will be the winner
Winner: Jenn
5. Timmy and Abram: Smash House
In this Inferno both contestants are given a metal ring and placed in a three glass boxes, each one smaller than the next, that are suspended in mid air. After the start is announced, both contestants must race against each other in order to break all of the different panes of glass, the contestant who can achieve this fastest is the winner.
Winner: Abram
6. Susie and Jenn: Zero Gravity
Both girls are put into harnesses that are attached to seventy-five-percent of their weight, making it very easy to climb the ladder, but very difficult to come down. At the top of the ladder there are eight flags; the first team member to get four of the eight flags attached at the bottom of the ladder is the winner
Winner: Susie
7. Davis and Derrick: Corner Ball
Each person stood on opposite sides of a wall that was 9 feet long and in a triangle with a rugby ball in between them. Once TJ says go, they both go for the ball and try and get the ball to the other person's side of the wall. The first person to get 3 of the rugby balls to the other person's side is the winner.
Winner: Derrick
8. Paula and Aneesa: Shimmy
The opponents must shimmy up between walls, ripping off team flags along the way. The first one to rip off the flag at the top of the walls wins.
Winner: Paula
Bad Asses win the final challenge giving each Bad Ass $40,000, each Good Guy received $10,000

1/2. The battle between the Good Guys and The Bad Asses explodes as the third, and most intense Inferno ignites.

3. While the Bad Asses begin to prove that their team lacks organization, both teams decide whom they will send to the first female Inferno.

4. While both teams ponder who is best suited for the Inferno, the girls face the possibility of being sent home.

5. With last week's elimination of Rachel from the Good Guys, will the Bad Asses finally be able to pull out of their losing streak?

6. Both teams compete in the final challenge before they possibly send Danny and Davis into the next Inferno.

7. While the Bad Asses cope with the loss of another male team member, the girls begin to think about the upcoming Inferno.

8. With the next female Inferno just around the corner, both the guys and girls can't help but wonder who will head home next.

9. The ongoing backlash against Tonya continues, plus both teams decide who will they pick to into the next male Inferno, and Aneesa reveals she is injured.

10. With a male Inferno creeping up, both teams find themselves in the position of having to make a tough decision.

11. With the loss of their team leader fresh in their minds the Good Guys turn it up a notch, also Aneesa continues to deal with her knee injury.

12. With both of their heads on the chopping block, Susie and Jenn attempt to win the life shield, plus drama begins to surface in the Good Guys' camp.

13. Cara officially reveals her alliance with Susie, which makes the Good Guys begin to question the integrity of their female members, plus TJ delivers some news that turns both teams upside down.

14. The stakes are high as the final male Inferno approaches, one more person will be sent home before the guys advance to the finals.

15. Girls from both teams get ready for the final challenge before the last Inferno that stands between them and the finals.

16. In the final challenge, The Bad Asses won against The Good Guys. Derrick was roundly congratulated for his first Challenge win after several near-misses.
