Pride: The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Plays U2 is a U2 tribute album recorded by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in May of 1998.[1] It was released on April 20, 1999. Although it was released in 1999, it contains no material more recent than on U2's 1991 album Achtung Baby.[2][3] Pride was re-released for a third time on June 23, 2003 under the title The Hits of U2.[4] The re-release contained no new songs, although several songs had alternate lengths.
