Pocahontas: The Legend is a 1995 drama film that fictionalizes the young life of the historical figure of Chief Powhatan's daughter and her relationship with John Smith. This film was directed by Danièle J. Suissa and stars Sandrine Holt as the titular heroine. It was shot in Toronto,Ontario,Canada.
This is the second feature film based on the life of Pocahontas that was released in 1995, the other being Disney's animated feature, Pocahontas. A year earlier, two animated films about this Native American princess were released on VHS.
