Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim is a real-time strategy game developed by 1C:Ino-Co and published by Paradox Interactive. The game was announced on April 18, 2008 and is due for release in the first quater of 2009.[1] It is a sequel to Cyberlore's Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim. Paradox announced that they will be updating and reinventing aspects of the game, but the humour and charm of the original Majesty will remain.

[edit] Changes

Paradox announced it will not only change the original aspects, but also invent completely new ones that will hopefully keep the charm of the game. Though some things remain the same, such as the player having power over buildings, rewards, and magic; however, monster skins, like the Troll as seen in the first demo video which can be found on any game review website, have been drastically changed. The Troll now is a bash skin and uses a tree instead of a large bone club and is shown to be around 50 ft. tall and towers over most of anything seen in the demo video. It has been noted that a physics engine has been added, but it is currently unknown what it is called and if it is complete yet, though the demo shows trees falling in the troll's path, guards flying, and buildings being smashed to pieces before it decides to take a nap. Other changes have been announced for the class system, to not only add more diverse classes, but also higher tier classes. No names for these classes have been announced but it has been stated that each hero type will have a higher tier to upgrade to. Also Paradox is working hard to have more character detail, so every character, hero, monster, and object in the game looks different everytime. Hero's armor will change based on level, enchantments, and what they wear. Rumor also has it that hero's and characters in the game will retain scratch marks in their clothing until change and scars. Objects like towers will not look the same as the tower next to them. This is only a few of the many changes Paradox has made, more is underway yet the project is still kept under wraps.
