Though the picture is subject to probable copyright, it is being used here under the guidelines of "fair use laws" to illustrated the subject(s) of the specific article to which it is being assigned to. The book cover is to the first book by Langston Hughes which contained what would become his signature poem, "The Negro Speaks of Rivers."

The image is of an African American man seated in silhouette against a red background. He is playing the piano, hands up over the keyboard preparing to touch the keys. His head is tilted upwards. Below the image is the name of the book's author, Langston Hughes.
