[edit] Summary
This image, The_Thirteen_Problems_First_Edition_Cover_1932.jpg is being uploaded here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (JohnTomlinson) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because the use of a single cover "to illustrate an article discussing the book in question" is allowed. The image has been scanned by myself from a facsimile cover held in my possession and has then been reduced in size and cropped to prevent further facsimilies being made. The artist's name is not known. This scan is purely for linking to the Wikipedia article on the novel The Thirteen Problems by Agatha Christie and no other use should be made of it.
[edit] Licensing
This image is of a book cover, and the copyright for it is most likely owned either by the artist who created the cover or the publisher of the book. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of book covers
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Other use of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, might be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. |
