[edit] Summary
Back cover of The JAMs' album Who Killed The JAMs?, JAMS LP2. The image depicts The JAMs' bonfire of copies of 1987 (What the Fuck Is Going On?). This bonfire, as well as the albums 1987 and Who Killed The JAMs?, are discussed in the article The KLF, where this image is used. The image is also used to illustrate Who Killed The JAMs? and The KLF discography.
[edit] Licensing
This image is of a cover of an audio recording, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the album or the artist(s) which produced the recording or cover artwork in question. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of such covers
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. |
[edit] Fair use for The KLF
This image, The JAMS- Who Killed The JAMS? (rear).jpg, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (Zzzzz) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- it is a low resolution copy of a CD album back cover;
- it does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the CD album in any way;
- copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the album artwork on another CD.
