[edit] Plot

Scylla, priestess and queen of the Odaku, conjures up Shadow Dragons, the spirits of evil dragons. She promises them if she aids her people, she would open a portal to the Dragon Realm.

Meanwhile, Prince Dev of the Norvagen and Princess Kyra of the Draigar lead a raiding party to take out an Odaku outpost, who have been increasing attack against them. But it turns out to be a trap, for the Odaku have been waiting. Trying to attack them is impossible for the Odaku wear some sort of armour that repels any form of attack and they are armed with explosive weapons. Worse, the Shadow Dragons arrive, sucking the life out of Targon and Aurora, the only dragons to remain behind when the others left so humans could guide their paths. Dev and Kyra are saved by a mysterious man, who is later revealed to be an Odaku rebel, Gorhagar. Word to the two's fathers is sent by a survivor, worrying everyone.

In Dragon world, King Thoron refuses to interfere in human affairs, which is why they left a second time. But when he hears about the Shadow Dragons, he decides to return and finds Targon and Aurora's bodies. Though the other dragons grieve, Thoron knows that when dragons are killed by Shadow Dragons, they create the cosmic opposite, Light Dragons.
