"The Companions" in the Dragon Lance Series refers to the 6 veteran adventurers that regroup in Solace starting the original trilogy called, "the Chronicles" by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman.

Also, mentioned as an absent member of "the Companions" is Kitiara Uth Matar. But in the original Chronicles Trilogy, she becomes an antithesis of the party and so is not normally considered part.
