Chapter 1: The End is the full-length follow-up by Three 6 Mafia to their debut album Mystic Stylez. During the timeline between the two albums, Three 6 Mafia were having a war of words with Cleveland based rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and released an EP dissing the group. If you listen to the song "Last Man Standing" you hear DJ Paul mention Bone Thugs: The last man standin'll never be part of the b.o.n.e. There is also an original version of "Life or Death" which features a different Scan Man verse & Koopsta not on the track. The album's best known track is "Where's Da Bud". The tracks "N-2-Deep" & "Late Nite Tip" were also included in the group's next album, Chapter 2: World Domination. This album moved over 200,000 copies independently, and is considered darker than Chapter 2, yet still less bleak than Mystic Stylez.
