Detective Conan: The Phantom of Baker Street (名探偵コナン ベイカー街（ストリート）の亡霊 Meitantei Konan Beikā Sutorīto no Bōrei?) is the 6th Detective Conan movie. It was first screened on April 20, 2002, and was the first Detective Conan movie whose script was not written by Kazunari Furuuchi; it was written by Hisashi Nozawa, famed Japanese scriptwriter.

Conan, Ai, Ran and The Detective Boys are 6 out of the 50 chosen kids to try a new virtual reality game. Conan and his friends enter London in the 1800 century. But soon after all the kids head into the game, Noah's Ark (A highly developed AI program) closes all exits to the game. Now the innocent game is a matter of life and death. If the kids don't finish the game, they're all going to die. One by one the kids "die" in the game, and soon Conan & co solve the puzzle to find out who can catch Jack The Ripper and save them all.

[edit] Prologue
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States. Child prodigy Hiroki Sawada-- who by the age of ten already a graduate school student in MIT and previously developed the DNA Tracker software-- is now in the final stage of his second major work, an artificial intelligence system called Noah's Ark, in a heavily guarded room.
Hiroki has been under the guardianship of Thomas Schindler, owner of the software giant Schindler, Inc, since his mother died. He has been put under a rigorous study program and was somewhat deprived of his childhood life.
At this night, at the top of the Schindler building where Hiroki lives, he finishes Noah's Ark, sending the software through the telephone lines, after his computer show "Noah's Ark Sailed Out."
The security found the irregularities, but after they finally broke into Hiroki's room-- with Schindler-- Hiroki was not in the room. Apparently he lept to his death. His computer screen shown the image of an ark sailing in water, and then the words "Good-bye HIROKI."
[edit] The Beika City Hall
Two years later, at the Beika City Hall, the Schindler company made a demonstration on a virtual reality game system called Cocoon. The kids, including the Detective Boys were invited for the demonstration. It was revealed that the kids with badges were chosen for the demonstration. Just then, Doctor Agasa and Booker Kudo arrives for the demonstration. Agasa gave Conan a gift of that badge, and told Conan that his mother Vivian Kudo wouldn't be coming there, due to having an alumni reunion.
Agasa once again gave the Detective Boys a quiz. The gang decided to have badges for themselves. Soon after, Schindler killed Kashimura-- one of his top employees, and Kashimura's final message was JTR. After Conan discovered murder, he decided to go to the game that would lead to the answer. Yusaku found out that JTR is for Jack the Ripper, the criminal who is never captured by the Scotland Yard.

Just as when the game begins, Noah's Ark came to life, and telling the audience that if all fifty kids lost the game, it will destroy everything that it was in their heads via a large electromagnetic burst. There are five stages in the game, and Conan decided to take on the final stage (a recreation of a 1800 London mystery). Meanwhile, Booker investigates the case, and Schindler hopes to eliminate all the kids. In the game, Conan finds out that the inventions he has doesn't work on the game. Conan and his friends track down 221b Baker Street, only to find Holmes and Watson are at Dartmoor. They find Colonel Moran and Professor Moriarty. Moriarty tells Conan he trained Jack the Ripper when Jack was a street urchin. The professor gives the children a clue about the next victim, who turns out to be Irene Adler, Holmes's only love. Booker modeled her after Jimmy's mother. Booker finds out that the culprit is the president of the game Thomas Schindler, who is then revealed to be a descendant of Jack the Ripper but will stop at nothing to hide his secret. Schindler is arrested immediately.
Conan confronts Jack the Ripper on the top of a train, who ties up Rachel. Rachel decided to make a sacrifice by jumping off the train and into a ravine, taking Jack the Ripper with her. As Conan begins to lose hope Sherlock Holmes appeared and gived Conan some useful advice that eventually helped Conan and the other surviving child, Hideki Moroboshi, to survive in the game. After winning the game, Conan finds out that Hideki is actually Hiroki. At the end of the game, all the children are released, and Hiroki a.k.a. Noah's Ark ends his life for good.

At the night in Mouri Detective Agency, Conan practices the game Dungeon Crawler, a Pac Man-styled game, due to the Junior Detective League's earlier saying that he always loses in video games.
