[edit] Plot introduction

The world's largest urban warfare training compound stands in the desert near Las Vegas. Forty British commandos are being hunted by an entire American battalion. The Americans have twice the resources, equipment and ammunition. But the British commander has an ace up his sleeve: he plans to smuggle in ten CHERUB agents, and fight the best war game ever. The Brits manage to hold their own, but for how long? Afterwards, will James be able to resist the temptation of using his mathematical skills to make a killing at the casinos in Las Vegas? In the June 2008 newsletter it says that Kyle will make a Cameo in The General possibly refering to The Training exercise at the end.

[edit] Promotion

An official competition was ran by Robert Muchamore, where a signed copy of the book was promised to any reader who could supply him with the password of one of his forum staff members.[1]

[edit] Cover

The cover of Cherub: The General is disputed, as there have been two released covers. One depicts two playing cards, one the Jack of Hearts and the other, the Cherub logo. The other cover showing a man, hands on hip, with his face hidden in what appears to be a desert, has been revealed by the author Robert Muchamore as the American cover of the book, which depending on its success will be the last CHERUB title to be published in the US.
