"That Girl" is the debut single from R&B singer Marques Houston and the first taken from his debut album, MH in the U.S.. In the UK, however, "Clubbin'" was the first single from the album there.

"That Girl" was originally for Ne-Yo, but columbia records droped him, and was givien to Houston. The song was his first Billboard Hot 100 hit single, peaking at number sixty-three in the U.S [1].

The single was due to be the fourth single from MH in the UK, however, due to the underperformance of the third single there, "Because of You", the single was cancelled, despite the video being serviced to television music channels there.

[edit] Music video

The video was shot in Los Angeles, CA on February 2003. The video starts out with word "That Girl" then "starring Marques Houston". Describes that Marques was looking at some other girls while taking a date with the women that was in the red car. The women started to push him when they arrive at the movie theatre and Marques disappears into the dance routine when the women comes and join with him and the members, and the song starting playing again. The end of the video shows the women and Marques in the red car and little kiss between them, then they drove off but, somehow it shows they drove off on the screen while they still there by the movie theatre (possibly that's when Marques and the women arrived since the beginning of the video). The video was featured Tanee McCall who acted on You Got Served, along with Marques as well.
