"Thanks That Was Fun" is a song by Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies. It was released to promote their Greatest hits collection Disc One.
The band wanted to name the single "One Weaker", as a follow up to the hit single "One Week", but management refused to allow it.[citation needed]
The video for the single was a montage of all of the band's prior music videos (with singer's mouths altered to appear to be singing the new song), including some concert footage.
As it is composed of older videos, both Andy Creeggan and Kevin Hearn, who were in the band at separate times, appear in this video.
Due to the song and video's tone and placement as the last song on a greatest hits collection, it sparked rumors that the group had decided to disband.[citation needed] However, this has been disproved as another album has been released since the release of this song.
