Thanjavur Medical College

Thanjavur Medical College (TMC) is a medical college in India[1]. It is located in Thanjavur, Tamilnadu, one of the southern states of India, and is affiliated with the Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai.

Thanjavur Medical College was inaugurated by the first Indian President, Dr Rajendra Prasad in 1958. The medical college offers the following courses: MBBS, Degree Courses: M.D General Medicine, M.D. Pathology, M.D. Obstetrics and Gynaecology, M.D. Paediatrics, M.D. Anaesthesiology, M.D. Biochemistry, M.S. Courses: M.S. General Surgery, M.S. Anatomy, Diploma Courses: D.G.O, D.C.H,D.M.RD, D.L.O, D.A, D.Ortho, D.O, D.T.C.D, D.D, D.P.M, M.Ch. Courses: M.Ch. Plastic Surgery and Para Medical Courses: Diploma in Pharmacy and Diploma in Nursing.

The Thanjavur Medical College Hospital (TMCH) and the Government Raja Mirasudar Hospital (RMH) are affiliated to this medical college.

The Pin Code for TMC is 613 004. The medical college campus covers an area of approximately 1 sq. km. It is located on the western edge of Thanjavur town.
