Thanchi (Bengali: থানচি) is an Upazila of Bandarban District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Thanchi is located at 21.7861° N 92.4278° E . It has 2885 units of house hold and total area 1020.82 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Thanchi has a population of 16104. Males constitute are 55.61% of the population, and females 44.39%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 8639. Thanchi has an average literacy rate of 17.4% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
