Thanamandi is a town and a notified area committee in Rajauri District in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

As of 2001 India census[1], Thanamandi had a population of 3478. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Thanamandi has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 49%. In Thanamandi, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
