Thammampatti is a panchayat town in Salem district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Thammampatti is situated between Pachamallai and the Kolli Hills. The River Swetha flows through the town and joins the River Vasista to form the River Vellar, which empties into the Bay of Bengal at Port Novo.

As of the 2001 India census[1], Thammampatti had a voter population of 20,883. The literacy rate is 66%, with a male literacy rate of 74% and a female literacy rate of 58%. The main industry in the area is agriculture, especially sago.

Thammampatti is also famous for jallikattu next to famous jallikattu locations like Alanganallur, Pudukottai in Tamil Nadu
