Thai traditional medicine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thai Traditional Medicine (TTM) is the name given to methods and practices that have been handed down from monks and local knowledge of herbs in the country historically known as Siam. A century ago 'outlawed as quackery' in favour of western medicine TTM is now making a comeback with the international success of the Thai Spa industry. Thai Garden spa may grow and use these traditional herbs and incorporate them into the natural therapies they offer.

Use of the term TTM ecompasses two main categories. 1 Herbs found in Thailand. 2 Thai Massage techniques and practices.
