Thabiso “Boyzzz” Khumalo has led an interesting life. Highly rated as a footballer playing under Farouk Khan at the Super Centre under the Transnet School of Excellence, Khumalo’s path differed from many of the players with him. During the ten years he spent away, he was able to pursue both an academic (Bachelor of Scienece Degree in Physical Eduction from Coastal Carolina University) and football career.
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have just announced that Boyzzz has signed for them. [1]
Boyzzz spent the 2007- 2008 season in his native South Africa playing for 2nd Division (Vodacom League) team Alexandra United under former coach Farouk Khan. The team is associated to the Stars of Africa Football Academy.
He joined American USL Second Division side Wilmington Hammerheads in 2006 after one season with USL First Division team Charleston Battery. He played Soccer whilst at Coastal Carolina University, and played with the Mid-Michigan Bucks and the Chicago Fire Premier in the USL Premier Development League.
