User Tgladysz is Thomas Gladysz, a widely published art critic, book reviewer, columnist & free lance writer with nearly 500 articles to his credit. While in college, he was a staff writer on the State News. And later, for more than five years, he was the art critic for Bay City News Service, a regional wire service located in San Francisco, California. His columns and free-lance work has appeared in various newspapers, magazines, literary journals, 'zines and alternative monthlies including the Lansing State Journal, Red Cedar Review, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Review of Books, Publisher's Weekly, Locus, American Bookseller, Five Fingers Review, WestArt, PhotoMetro, X-Ray, Shots, ArtTalk, and the now defunct San Francisco Progress.

One of Gladysz's interviews with the poet Allen Ginsberg appeared in Spontaneous Mind: Selected Interviews (HarperCollins),[1] and his entry on the silent film star Louise Brooks appeared in the Encyclopedia of the Great Plains (Univ. of Nebraska Press).[2] He can also be found in the footnotes, acknowledgments, and bibliographies of books published around the world.[3]

Gladysz grew up on the east side of Detroit and attended St. Peter's Grade School, Notre Dame High School, and Michigan State University. However, he now lives in San Francisco, California and considers himself self-educated.
