The {{WikiProject Soviet Union}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has optional parameters that add an extra feature to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

  • The class parameter is a rating of the article's quality; see the assessment department for more details. Can be NA (not-article), List, Template, Stub, Start, B, GA, A, FA.
  • The importance parameter is a rating of the article's importance; see assessment department for details. Can be Low, Mid, High, Top.
