[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:TVDB_album_1.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:TVDB_album_1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 08:32, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Tvdb.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Tvdb.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:40, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Tel Aviv Disco Bomb

A tag has been placed on Tel Aviv Disco Bomb requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. tomasz. 18:57, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

TVDB will be put back up shortly. It wont be deleted again. Texasfirebrand 03:12, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AFD tags

Please don't delete them unless the AFD is resolved. Thanks. Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 03:47, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

I added what was apparently needed to justify the continued existence of the article. The article's talk page had concluded discussion on the matter. The less experienced users are not familiar with the process of discussing AfD on another page removed from the article itself. Texasfirebrand 03:53, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, that doesn't quite make sense. You removed the AFD tag. Please don't do that until the AFD discussion has come to a close. Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 03:57, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Im sorry you didnt understand. Let me rephrase. The folks who may know much better where good sources can be found arent aware of how this process works. Ive added my vote, and will inform those of how to get their vote counted as well on the talk page for furny. Texasfirebrand 04:18, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
That makes more sense =D... you may want to see WP:CANVASSING, but what you've done is fine by me. Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 04:21, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Byrd

I see that yours was the last edit on that page, and I wanted you to check out the talk page and offer someone else the chance to make the edit. I am also concered that the article says the segregated black cemetery. I feel certain that this can't be right. If the cemetery is only for blacks, then it can't be segregated. On what bases would the black deceased be segregated... the black ones on one side were blacker than the ones on the other side? This just doesn't seem encyclopedic. If you can help me sort it all out,I'd appreciate it. Just read the article and see if you agree that it needs a major overhall. Die4Dixie 05:05, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
