Texas Music Educators Association, or TMEA, is an organization of over 9,000 Texas school music educators united by common goals. It provides many major music competitions for different levels. Its goal is to provide professional growth opportunities, to encourage interaction among music education professionals, to foster public support for music in schools, to offer quality musical experiences for students, to cultivate universal appreciation and lifetime involvement in music, and to develop and maintain productive working relationships with other professional organizations.

TMEA is responsible for auditions into and concerts of Texas's All-Region, All-City, and All-State bands, choirs, and orchestras. It uses the same region classifications as UIL and ATSSB. The audition music is announced at their yearly convention in San Antonio, usually in July.
