Texadelphia is a chain of more than thirty restaurants specializing in unique cheesesteaks. Established on The drag near The University of Texas in Austin, Texas in 1985, Texadelphia has spread to more than six major cities in Texas and Oklahoma.
Texadelphia's food is a combination of East Coast-style cheesesteak sandwiches and Tex-Mex and vegetarian cuisines.
The name "Texadelphia" is a portmanteau, combining the state of Texas (the chain's home state) with Philadelphia (a city known for its cheesesteaks).
