[edit] Needed class
Not sure what happened, but needed class articles such as Talk:U.S. Route 90 in Texas should be filtering into the needed class cat, not sure why it isn't. --Holderca1 02:35, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Also, see Talk:Texas State Highway 169, it shouldn't be put in the unassessed cat when the article doesn't exit yet. --Holderca1 18:18, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- The changes to the template broke the case flexibility for "class=List". "class=list" now incorrectly places the article in the Unassessed importance category. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 21:19, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- As an addendum, I'd like to know exactly what was glitchy in the version of code that I implemented on this template. I'm trying to keep the coding across all the WP as similar as possible - that way, if something needs to be added/fixed/deleted, I don't have to study each template for a half-hour before implementing the change. As I'd like to get this template back closer in coding to the others, I'd appreciate it if any/all errors in the other code could be listed here. I'd also like to note that I discovered the reason for the "double categorization" of Needed-Class articles, and has been fixed in Oklahoma (almost identical to this template) as shown here. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 03:28, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think it was this portion of the code: " This article has not yet received a rating on the quality scale. <includeonly> </includeonly>" It was automatically putting the articles that didn't have an assessment into the unassessed cat, but since needed class won't have an assessment either, this has to go elsewhere. --Holderca1 10:27, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see that line in my code. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 12:08, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, not sure what it was, that was just a guess. I couldn't figure it out by looking at it, so that is why I just reverted until it worked. Gonna start working on a universal project tag. --Holderca1 13:41, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Working on it here: User talk:Holderca1/sandbox1. --Holderca1 14:13, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'd rather that the code be based on OK's template than the Texas one, as it is more organized (IMO) and easier to decipher while working in much, if not in the exact same way. Also, as an aside, the code as it is right now on the templates is fairly universal - that is, for every state but Texas. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 14:40, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- It should also be noted that in the process of reverting, the TX template no longer has support for the new "attention" parameter, essentially leaving Texas state highways with no cleanup category. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 14:44, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- I will take a look at the OK template, I think we can consolidate all of our stub templates into one with a state paramter as well. --Holderca1 15:12, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Stub templates are out of our domain so to speak, as all stubs are managed by WP:WSS. Any attempt at stub consolidation would have to be brought up there. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 16:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I think it is ready to go live, mind taking a look at it to see any problems? --Holderca1 16:24, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Looks good to me. However, some of the blank state highway shields are pointing to the wrong location and a lot of the categories have yet to be created. Not sure if further input at WT:USRD is needed, but I personally think that this will make future coding updates at least a little bit easier and that this is a good idea. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 16:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, the problems with the shields results from the naming of the blank shield in something other than black. For example, Washington has the Blank. Some may not even exist. I may have an idea for the cats. --Holderca1 17:02, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, cat issue fixed. --Holderca1 17:19, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- All of the blanks definitely exist, as they are in use on the current templates. Perhaps, depending on how the code is implemented on the subproject templates, the shield could be passed as a parameter. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 17:39, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Just to make sure I understand where you are going, for those that are named differently, use a parameter to name the shield? Hmmm, that may work, let me take a look at how they are named and see if I can work out something. --Holderca1 17:43, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Request for image category has changed - Can someone fix?
Request for images of Texas highways used to be in Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Texas state highways. Now they are showing up in Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Texas. Can someone fix this and get the images back into the sub-category? Thanks -Nv8200p talk 20:00, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Problem fixed. --Holderca1 16:21, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
