[edit] Rose Queen List
Who thinks that we should add a list of rose queens? Or at least some? Tell me what you think. Binglebongle2000 04:05, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- The enthusiasm is appreciated, but I have to agree with Dirtydan667 in the Tyler talk page discussion. I don't think it would add much to the article or to Wikipedia - the Rose Festival is pretty self-contained, so it'd be a long list without any wikilinks to other articles. IMHO, anyone who really needs to find that info would be much better served by calling or going to the Tyler Rose Museum, which has all manner of photos/memorabilia/costumes/etc. Just a list of names won't give much help to someone doing a report.
- There's also the matter of confirming the accuracy of all of that info; as an example, your sample entry for the 2005 festival on the Tyler talk page lists both the theme and the queen's name incorrectly. The Texas Rose Festival Association is probably the only party that could even devise an official, accurate list - you might call its office and suggest they put one on the official site.
- As for the "some" proposition - that's an invitation for friends, relatives, queens, etc. to add queens they feel have been "slighted." I fear it would be "all-or-nothing" on this, and feel that "all" wouldn't be worthwhile. - Hedgey42 13:45, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
