[edit] OMAP Acronym

Why no mention of the meaning of the OMAP Acronym. I think it is "Open Media Applications Platform." --Ralph walden 19:12, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't believe it is an acroynm --JadonK (talk) 06:24, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] omap 1510/5910

is it the same chip???

No, they're not the same chip, but they are very similar. There are slight differences in voltages and clock speeds, and some peripheral differences, such as 3 McBSPs on the 5910 and 2 on the 1510. Also the 1510 isn't recommended for new designs. -- DImfeld 00:47, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

omap 2430 - the new kid in town!!

[edit] Category: 4-letter acronyms

I replaced the category, as the category cannot be placed on the OMAP redirect page as suggested. As OMAP is indeed a 4-letter acronym, the category appellation is appropriate. Gjs238 14:46, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
