It's sad how the New Yorkers who took over Texas Commerce Bank have systematically erased as much of the history of Texas Commerce Bank as possible. Texas Commerce Bank actually traces it roots to the oldest banks in Texas, and before merging with Chemical Bank, was one of the largest and best known banks in Texas. TCB has as rich of a history as Chemical and Chase do, and may actually trace its roots back farther than Chase and Chemical.

Hopefully I will be able to dig up some of the history of TCB and post it here.
