The Tewkesbury Medieval Festival is a re-enactment of the Battle of Tewkesbury, near its original site.
It is said to be "Europe's largest battle re-enactment and fair". Thousands of re-enactors travel to Tewkesbury from around the world to re-enact the Battle of Tewkesbury near to the original battle site. The festival includes a "living history" recreation of a medieval encampment, games, food and a large fair where re-enactment clothing, furniture and weaponry can be bought from the stalls at the medieval festival.
The event is now in its 22nd year, and is the largest event of its kind in Europe, attracting enthusiasts from all over the world.
