Tevarua

Tevarua (1774 - 1799) was consort of Bounty Mutineer Matthew Quintal. She had 5 children with him
- Matthew Quintal II (born 1791)
- John Quintal (born 1792, died in infancy)
- Jane Quintal (born 1795)
- Arthur Quintal (born May 6, 1795)
- Sarah Quintal (born 1797)
In 1799 during a fishing trip she was abused terribly by her husband for not catching enough. In an outrage, Quintal then bit her ear off. Tevarua became so distraught, she committed suicide.
