Teuvo Tulio

Teuvo Tulio (August 23, 1912 – June 8, 2000) was a Finnish film director and actor.
Tulio was born as Theodor Antonius Tugai in Rezekne, Latvia. His family moved to Finland when he was young, and his name was changed from Theodor to the more Finnish Teuvo.
At age fourteen, Tulio was the star of his fellow Russian expatriate Valentin Vaala's film Mustat silmät (Black eyes), which was completed in 1929.
His first work as director was the 1939 film Taistelu Heikkilän talosta (Struggle for the House of Heikkila), starring Regina Linnanheimo.
