[edit] History

Teufel started playing death metal, incorporating industrial and melodic elements, performing several concerts and recording their first demo Apocaliptic Show which got a favorable reception in the Cuban underground scene.

One year after their formation, the band's line-up changed, along with their music style, when two female voices joined them (Elizabeth and Annia Martinez). The band tended then to Melodic death metal with gothic influences. Soon joined the guitarist (William Martínez) and the rhythm machine was replaced by keyboards.

On November 2002 the band released their second demo Diabolic and Tender with a better production and a better musical making than the previous one. This demo was very successful all over Cuba. Three years later, in 2005 third demo was released, named Always and Forever, following the steps of the second work, but with a much defined conception and more focused on the influence of classic orchestral music and at the same time darker, more melancholic and aggressive.

Teufel has performed in places like El Patio de María, Salón Rosado, Cabaret Nacional; taken part on festivals in Pinar del Río, Matanzas, Holguín and Camagüey, and has also made performances on radio stations and twice on TV Show Cuerda Viva.

On February 2007 a new bassist joined them, Oscar Pita and a new keyboardist Mariela Pita. Teufel performed concerts at the UCI, Club Atelier, Salón Rosado and La Madrigera, this time with sequence drums. The band is currently rehearsing for live performances with the new drummer Alcides Rodríguez and preparing their new demo, which is expected to be released this year.
