Specifically, Wikipedia is not a dictionary, and it is not a place for made up words (neologisms). As a result, your article on Hyplish is completely unsalvageable. Rklawton 15:54, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

I hear what you're saying ... ultimately I couldn't care less, it's YOUR wikipedia. You have enough hassle, I guess, without worrying about corner cases.
Note by the way that the wikipedia is in fact exactly a dictionary. (Encyclopedias are dictionaries.)
I certainly won't bother replying again. When Hyplish is more broadly used someone else can go ahead and add an article! :) The choice is entirely yours.

  • You keep referring to Wikipedia as "your" (meaning ours). If you are editing Wikipedia, then it is no more mine than it is yours - no need to distance yourself from the WP community. Anyways, the real issue with your first article is the lack of verifiability. When creating articles and adding information, you need to cite information from reputable sources (either internet or print). The best of luck with future edits!
