Test Manager
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Test Manager is a software tool designed by Marc-Elian Bégin, from CERN. It was first created to help the gLite Grid middleware team at CERN to better manage the execution and visualisation of results of different tests, written in different languages and using different tools and frameworks.
The tool has now being re-hosted by the ETICS project. The tool is currently being upgraded and integrated in the ETICS Service.
The xml schema that Test Manager standardises on (an extended version of the ant/junit xml format) will be proposed to the junit/xunit community for further standardisation.
Test Manager is composed of a set of plug-ins, which allow the tool to execute tests in a specific manner, in order to provide a consistent output format. One of these plug-in is the xPyUnit, the Python language xUnit implementation, which extends the PyUnit module to support generation of XML output. xPyUnit will be proposed to the Python community for inclusion in a future Python release.
