Tesfaye Walda Simeon "Tes" Bramble (born July 20, 1980 in Ipswich, England) is an English footballer currently unattached following his release from Stevenage Borough. He has played international football for Montserrat. He has a brother, Titus, who plays professional football for Wigan Athletic. He has played at the Millennium Stadium in the Football League Trophy final for Southend United in 2004.
[edit] Football career
Bramble started his career at Chelmsford City, where he had a number of trials for League clubs such as Cambridge United, Tottenham Hotspur and Ipswich Town. He then made a move onto Southern Premier League outfit Cambridge City.
In January 19, 2001, he signed for Southend United, turning professional. Dave Webb initially signed Bramblle on loan before the deal was made permanent for a fee of £7,000.[1]
During his time at Southend United, he took his place in goal, when Southend's goalkeeper, Darryl Flahavan was sent-off against Boston United in a League Two clash for handling outside his area. [2]
In November 2004 Tesfaye was called up by footballing minnows Montserrat, coached by Ruel Fox, and made his international debut for them, scoring in a Caribbean Cup qualifier against Antigua and Barbuda, on 2 November 2004; Montserrat lost 5-4.[3]
Bramble signed for Stevenage Borough on July 14, 2007.[4] In November 2007, Bramble was sidelined for two-months following knee surgery.[5] He was released at the end of the 2007-08 season, having made just 11 Conference National appearances scoring just a single goal.[6]
