I agree that Outplacement is a good idea, as long as people don't get lazy and abuse it by treating it as their publishing agent. Obuibo Mbstpo (talk) 02:31, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

The Help desk is subject to a similar moral hazard, but traffic on the Help desk is fairly stable over time, suggesting people use it occasionally but do not come to depend on it. I agree that if any collaborative project is to work, it must encourage people to be as self-reliant as possible. The idea with outplacement would be that by showing people where to move their articles, they will be more likely to write their future articles in appropriate places. If people did not learn from the experience, then the abuse you mention might occur. --Teratornis (talk) 22:42, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
