Teruyoshi Ito (born 31 August 1974 in Shizuoka) is a Japanese football midfielder.He was capped 26 times for the Japanese national team between 1997 and 2001. He was an unused substitute at the 1998 FIFA World Cup. And is most well known for his goal against Brazil in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta which earned Japan a shock 1-0 victory. In 2007 he received the fair play award at the J. League end of season awards.
