Terry Williams (born January 11, 1948, in Swansea, Glamorgan, South Wales) is a Welsh rock drummer, whose resume includes Dire Straits, BB King, and Bob Dylan. During the 1960s, he played in a few bands, including The Smokeless Zone and Dream. After Dream split, Terry went on many musical journeys, joining Dave Edmunds' Rockpile, and also Welsh rock group Man, which consisted of two former Dream and Smokeless Zone members, Deke Leonard and Martin Ace. When Man split in 1976, finding work wasn't hard for Terry, joining Dave Edmunds again, as well as working with Deke Leonard (again), and Dire Straits from 1982 until 1989 (period that included a remarkable performance in their live album "Alchemy"). He wasn't part of the newly formed Manband in 1983. Terry now runs a blues club in Swansea.
