Terry Tufts

Terry Tufts (William Terence Tufts born November 7, 1954 in Port Colborne, Ontario) is a Canadian folk music singer-songwriter.

His father Floyd took a job with the Canadian government in Manpower and Immigration and this job took Terry to Denver, Colorado, U.S.A, Ottawa, Ontario, and Rome, Italy. After completing grade 12 at Notre Dame International in Rome, he started life away from his parents at 16 years of age, returning to Canada to complete his high school. After graduating in 1974 from Albert College in Belleville, he moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick to begin working as a full time musician. He later settled in the Ottawa Valley in Ontario working as a session/sideman for a variety of artists, as well as pursuing his own musical career as a singer-songwriter and guitarist.

Tufts recorded seven albums, one of which was never released. His last three albums were on the Borealis record label. He moved into the Ontario bush off-grid in 2006.
