[edit] Biography

Terry Nutkins was born in Salford, England. He spent much of his early life at London Zoo - skipping school to spend time with the elephants. At the age of 15, Terry moved to Scotland, where he lost two fingers to an otter named Edal, while working for its owner, the Scottish naturalist Gavin Maxwell.[2]

In 2004, he appeared on Living TV's reality television show, I'm Famous and Frightened!, and he featured in the Comic Relief video 2007.

Another element of Nutkins' career is his athletic work in the field of Jetskiing. During the 1980s he was one of the world's leading freestyle jetskiers, taking the world crown in 1987 and remaining competitive on the international scene well into the 90s[3].

Nutkins formerly owned the abbey at Fort Augustus, and currently lives in Scotland with his eight children and five grandchildren.
