Since then Etim has trained in Brazil with Pride veteran Luciano Azevedo before his coming fight with Matt Grice at UFC 70 in Manchester. Though Etim was on the defensive for the majority of the fight against Grice he was able to get back to his feet and implement his muay thai before locking in a tight standing guillotine choke. Grice actually fell unconscious due to the choke but was awaken by hammerfists to the head. Again Etim applied the guillotine and was able to end the fight via technical submission during the latter stages of the first round.
Etim was defeated at UFC 75, London by Gleison Tibau via unanimous decision. Etim is also a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under black belt Pride and UFC veteran Chris Brennan.
